Fourteen additional organizations receive emergency funding
The Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities has awarded emergency relief grants from the Louisiana Culture Care Fund to another 14 organizations in the final round of distribution from the fund. See the full list below.
The Louisiana Culture Care Fund, which is now closed, provided emergency relief support for operational expenses to humanities organizations impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Initial funding was provided by the National Endowment for the Humanities and the federal CARES Act, with additional support generously provided by The Helis Foundation, the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, and the Josef Sternberg Memorial Foundation.
In total, the LEH awarded 56 grants totaling $484,548 across 22 parishes. Applications to the fund are now closed, but organizations seeking funding for humanities programs are encouraged to apply for LEH’s Rebirth Grants program, opening July 1st.
