“Purchased Lives” at Bossier Parish Library
The Bossier Parish Library in Bossier City hosts “Purchased Lives: The American Slave Trade from 1808 to 1865,” a traveling panel exhibition exploring the history of the domestic slave trade. The exhibition runs from June 1st through July 13th. Presented by Entergy Corporation with additional support from the National Park Service and the Kabacoff Family Foundation, the exhibition will travel to ten Louisiana communities in 2016-2018.
“Purchased Lives” is a traveling exhibition by The Historic New Orleans Collection in collaboration with the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities. The library is located at 2206 Beckett Street. Click here for a full schedule.
