PRIME TIME Produces Record Number of Programs in La.

Founded in Louisiana in 1991, PRIME TIME Inc. is recognized as a national leader in early childhood learning. In fall 2016, PRIME TIME Family Reading Time will implement 30 programs, with each site using a new syllabus, “A More Perfect Union: Civic Education for American Families,” focusing on civic education, as part of a National Endowment for the Humanities grant. The auxiliary program PRIME TIME Preschool will implement a record 50 programs in 16 parishes:

  • Evangeline
  • Jackson
  • Jefferson
  • Jefferson Davis
  • Lafourche
  • Orleans
  • Ouachita
  • Plaquemines
  • Sabine
  • St. Landry
  • St. Tammany
  • Terrebonne

Additionally, PRIME TIME HomeRoom, a unique teacher professional development initiative that follows the PRIME TIME methodology of using dialogue, debate, and discovery in the classroom, will host five workshops in Lafayette, Shreveport, and Orleans parishes. In its 25th year of programming, PRIME TIME, Inc. continues to grow throughout the state, furthering its mission of ending intergenerational illiteracy in Louisiana.
