Feb. 1: Keep It 300! with Richard Campanella at Pythian Building
LEH’s yearlong Keep It 300! programming kicks off with Richard Campanella for a bird’s eye view of one of the city’s most interesting historic neighborhoods.
Join us Thursday, Feb. 1 at 6pm, on the under-renovation 6th floor of the Pythian Building for “Third Ward, Chinatown, Back-of-Town: The Human Geography of a New Orleans Neighborhood,” an illustrated lecture on the ethnic groups and cultural life of the surrounding neighborhood in the late 19th and early 20th century. The event free and open to the public but space is limited. Click here to RSVP.
Celebrating the Tricentennial and the publication of New Orleans & The World, Keep It 300 events will bring New Orleans history to neighborhoods across the city. Programs are made possible through support from Union Pacific Railroad.
