Satchmo Summerfest Features LEH Pulitzer Initiative
The LEH’s Pulitzer Prize Centennial Campfire Initiative at the Satchmo Summerfest offered “From New Orleans to the World State: The Artistic Journeys of Louis Armstrong and Wynton Marsalis,” a panel discussion featuring Victor Goines, Bruce Raeburn, Dan Morgenstern, and James Karst. The LEH and Satchmo Summerfest marked their second year of partnership in delivering humanities programs to the popular New Orleans festival, a celebration of native son Louis Armstrong’s life and music. Louisiana Cultural Vistas produced the print program for the Satchmo Symposium, a series of panel discussions, film screenings, and lectures at Le Petit Theater du Vieux Carré in the French Quarter.
