“Purchased Lives” in New Iberia through Aug. 28
“Purchased Lives: The American Slave Trade from 1808 to 1865,” a traveling panel exhibition exploring the history of the domestic slave trade, is currently on display at the Bayou Teche Museum in New Iberia.
Presented by Entergy Corporation with additional support from the National Park Service and the Kabacoff Family Foundation, the exhibition runs through August 28.

“Purchased Lives” is a traveling exhibition by The Historic New Orleans Collection in collaboration with the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities. Next stop: the Ellender Memorial Library at Nicholls State University in Lake Charles, Sept. 1 through Oct. 13. Click here for a full tour schedule.
