LEH awards Hurricane Mitigation Grants
In March 2021 the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities, with the support of the National Endowment for the Humanities and BHP, awarded Hurricane Mitigation Grants for cultural institutions in areas affected by Hurricanes Laura, Delta, and/or Zeta in 2020.
This competitive regrant process was open to cultural institutions and libraries in all 64 parishes. A total of $68,200 was awarded to 12 organizations in 11 parishes. Grants in Calcasieu, East Carroll, Jefferson Davis, Lafayette, Ouachita, Rapides, St. Charles, St. Landry, and Vermilion Parishes were made possible by the NEH; grants in Lafourche and Terrebonne Parishes were made possible by BHP.
