Inaugural reading by new poet laureate Jack Bedell

On Thursday, Oct. 26, Jack Bedell will give his inaugural reading as Louisiana’s new poet laureate. The event takes place at 6pm at the Louisiana Humanities Center in New Orleans. Click here to RSVP.

Upon review of recommendations from a panel formed by the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities, Governor John Bel Edwards selected Dr. Bedell to serve as poet laureate from 2017 to 2019. Bedell replaces outgoing poet laureate Dr. Peter Cooley.
