First Eleven Sites Receive Emergency Relief Grants

The Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities has awarded the first emergency relief grants from the Louisiana Culture Care Fund to eleven organizations in nine parishes. See the full list below.

The Louisiana Culture Care Fund is a new grant program providing emergency relief funding to humanities organizations impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. With initial funding provided by the National Endowment for the Humanities and the federal CARES Act, awards range between $3,000 and $20,000, and applications are open now through June 30, or until funds are expended. Grants are reviewed and awarded on a rolling basis.

The grants are available to 501(c)(3) non-profit cultural organizations in Louisiana with a strong humanities focus, such as museums, historic sites and archives, as well as the state’s diverse array of humanities-focused media, festivals and more.
