64 Parishes Wins Local and National Awards
We are pleased and humbled to announce that 64 Parishes contributor Robert W. Fieseler’s article “The Formation of Reggie Adams” (winter 2021) has won the Society of Professional Journalists‘ Sigma Delta Chi Award for Magazine Writing (Regional/Local Circulation). The articles tells the story of the lone known Black victim of the 1973 Up Stairs Lounge tragedy, Reginald “Reggie” Adams. Read the full story here.
In addition, 64 Parishes’ outstanding contributors won eight Press Club of New Orleans awards at the annual Excellence in Journalism Awards event, with the magazine overall taking home an additional award in the Best Magazine category. See below for the awards and links to read each story.
