About our feature guests
New Orleans hip hop artist, Kr3wcial, triples his creativity as an artist, producer and recording engineer. He has worked with many noted New Orleans artists including Waterseed, Pell, and Tank and The Bangas, as well as also being a prominent member of the New Orleans hip hop collective glbl wrmng. Kr3wcial’s music and videos can be found on his website (www.kr3wcial.com) and Youtube channel as well as multiple streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, and Tidal. His most recent releases “Bon Sol” and latest single “Glory” are available now, and he is currently a member of the 2023/2024 artist cohort at the New Orleans Museum of Art.
Jose Cotto is an interdisciplinary artist and designer from Great Brook Valley. His creative practice explores relationships between people, place, and time – often integrating poetry, carpentry, architecture, mark-making, and lens-based media. Cotto’s work has been featured by Paper Monuments, Prospect New Orleans, ASHE, Newcomb Art Museum, Antenna Gallery, and the Contemporary Art Center. He earned a Masters of Architecture from Tulane University (2014) and BFA in Design + Architecture from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst (2011). Cotto is a 2018 Salzburg Global Seminar Cultural Innovators Fellow and was a 2022 Artist In Residence at the Joan Mitchell Center and A Studio in the Woods.
Sweetie Magee is a captivating performance artist on a poetic journey to inspire through rhyme. Hailing from New Orleans, Sweetie shares the raw and unfiltered narrative of her experiences through spoken word. Sweetie is an actor, vocalist, host, author, creative director, and mother. Emerging as a voice challenging the notion of perfection, she encourages others to embrace their authenticity, while facing and dismantling the barriers of imposter syndrome through her performances. Her debut collection of spoken word poetry, Mics and Mirrors, is scheduled to release in 2024.
