LEH to Offer Grants Workshop in Shreveport
The Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities (LEH) is holding a free, public workshop for individuals and organizations interested in applying for a Rebirth Grant. The LEH, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities, offers grants for public programming in areas such as museum exhibitions, public lecture series, oral history projects, web-based humanities content, or documentary radio.
The workshop will be held:

Recent Rebirth Grant recipients include:
- Union Museum of History and Art for a 5-week exhibit and panel discussion on the tradition of the Quincenera
- The Northeast Louisiana Arts Council for the collection of an oral history of artist Don Cincone
- The Iberia African American Historical Society for a symposium that will commemorate the 75th anniversary of a racial incident in Iberia Parish that led to a loss of all African American doctors in the parish
