“Purchased Lives” in St. Tammany Parish Through Jan. 12

“Purchased Lives: The American Slave Trade from 1808 to 1865,” a traveling panel exhibition exploring the history of the domestic slave trade, is on display at St. Tammany Parish Library in Slidell through Jan. 12, 2018.

Presented by Entergy Corporation with additional support from the National Park Service and the Kabacoff Family Foundation,  “Purchased Lives” is a traveling exhibition by The Historic New Orleans Collection in collaboration with the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities.
