“Purchased Lives” opens at Bayou Teche Museum

New Iberia is the latest community to host  “Purchased Lives: The American Slave Trade from 1808 to 1865,” a traveling panel exhibition exploring the history of the domestic slave trade. Presented by Entergy Corporation with additional support from the National Park Service and the Kabacoff Family Foundation, the exhibition opens at the Bayou Teche Museum on July 17, and runs through August 28.
