64 Parishes Publication Party March 19 in New Orleans
64 Parishes magazine, the premier magazine of Louisiana history and culture published by the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities, is celebrating its fifth anniversary and the release of the spring 2024 issue on Tuesday, March 19, at LEH’s The Helis Foundation John Scott Center, 938 Lafayette St. in New Orleans.
64 Parishes was launched in late 2018 as the new iteration of LEH’s quarterly magazine Louisiana Cultural Vistas, which was merged with KnowLA, LEH’s online encyclopedia of Louisiana. Today, stories from the print magazine and encyclopedia entries, as well as resources for K-12 teachers, can all be found free of charge at 64parishes.org.
Join the 64 Parishes team, Editor-in-Chief Erin Greenwald and Senior Managing Editor Chris Turner-Neal, as they toast the magazine’s contributors, reflect on five years of sharing Louisiana’s stories, and discuss the latest issue.
This event, featuring complimentary beverages and light bites, is free and open to the public. For more information, visit 64parishes.org or follow the event on Facebook.
