LEH Launches Light Up for Literacy Campaign
On Thursday, September 18, the LEH launched an exciting campaign to celebrate literacy efforts across Louisiana. The Light Up for Literacy campaign kicked off with a reception at the St. Charles Avenue home of LEH Board Member Deborah Harkins, where guests joined LEH board and staff for the debut of artist Ashley Porter’s latest creation, the Light Up for Literacy earrings. Proceeds from the sales of the earrings support LEH efforts to improve reading skills in our state.

The campaign culminates in April at the 2015 LEH Awards with the first ever Light Up for Literacy Award, given to an individual or organization for contributions to literacy efforts in Louisiana. Stay tuned for more Light Up for Literacy events in coming months.
