DESCRIPTION:BlackAmericana Fest is the Deep South’s only festival dedicated to uplifting and preserving the contributions of Black artists in Americana, country, and folk music. Taking place September 25–26 at The Broadside in New Orleans, the festival brings together artists like Seratones, Tray Wellington, The Kentucky Gentlemen, Joy Clark, and The Lilli Lewis Project across three stages, plus workshops, panels, dance lessons, cultural ceremonies, and a Kids Zone\nJoin us for BlackAmericana Fest’s educational programming. On Saturday at 5:10pm, BlackAmericana Fest presents “The Words Told The Story: a panel discussion on the legacy of protest in roots music featuring Dr. Bryan Pierce, Denitia, Vienna Carroll, and moderator Mark T.
